I've always been a music lover. In 1976 I was able to join the school marching band. I wanted to play drums but my music teacher was very traditional and said "girls don't play drums". So I said I wanted to play the trumpet and he squelched that idea for the same reason. I asked what instrument girls WERE ALLOWED to play and he said woodwinds. "What's the hardest woodwind to play?" Clarinet. I was first chair right away and continued to play until high school. I haven't played clarinet in years but this was the beginning of my personal expression of music.

In 1981, I was introduced to the Lord Jesus Christ and accepted Him as my Savior. I was baptised soon after. I started telling everyone I knew about Him and the Word and the changes He made in my life. This was the beginning of my personal experience with serving the Lord.

In 1987, I met Tom Cummins. He was a musician, a new Christian and THE person I had prayed God would send for me. We were married in 1988. This was the beginning of my experience with the kind of loving, trusting and respectful relationship God wants for all His people.

In 1991, Tom and I had a beautiful daughter. There was much difficulty during the delivery. Six hours after she was born, my pediatrician came to me and said if I was a religious person, now was the time to pray--she may not survive. GOD DOES ANSWER PRAYER!! We have a normal, healthy 5 year old who loves Kindergarten. This was the beginning of our travels through patience, learning and the responsibilities of teaching the Word to our daughter.

After years of Tom's persuading, in 1996 I decided to join Clear Frontier. It has been nothing but a blessing to me to be able to spread God's Word through music. I meet and talk to so many people. My most favorite thing to do is to "plant the seeds" of Jesus in people's hearts and KNOW they will grow and blossom. This was the beginning of my ministry of reaching out and spreading the love of Jesus to everyone I can.

I have been so fortunate in my life. I have been able to take the things that mean the most to me and combine them in a way that serves Jesus. God, my family, and music--it's an(other!) answer to prayer. By the way, our 5 year old daughter leads prayer at most of our band practices!
